Requesting your 1st withdrawal

## Do you qualify for a withdrawal? ### If it's your 1st withdrawal Before you can request your first withdrawal, you need to meet all four critical prerequisites. Once these milestones are met, you are ready to request your capital withdrawal. You need all four of these conditions to be true: **1. Form C acceptance (at least 21 days have passed).** The SEC requires a mandatory 21-day waiting period starting from the filing of your Form C before any funds can be released. Count from your Form C filing date; after day 21, you are eligible to request withdrawal. **2. You have raised at least your fundraising minimum.** You must have raised at least this minimum to request your first withdrawal. Off-platform investments counting towards this amount must be on the same terms. A significant portion (20% or more) of the disbursement total cannot come from officers or directors of your company. **3. If your Reg CF campaign began before February 19, 2026, then your lead investor is required to have funded their investment.** A lead investor must have created and funded their investment for at least $5,000. They cannot be a related party, such as a family member or employee. This is a key requirement before any funds can be sent. If your Reg CF campaign began on or after February 19, 2026, then there is no minimum investment requirement or related party prohibition for your lead investor. **4. You have provided and saved your wire information.** Your banking details must be entered and saved in the withdrawals dashboard. Rejected or inaccurate wire information can delay or block withdrawals. ### Rolling withdrawals after your 1st withdrawal After you've received your first withdrawal, subsequent withdrawal criteria is as follows: 1. Must have a minimum of $50,000 in "ready" funds 2. Can only receive a withdrawal every four weeks or more ## What about your "Ready" funds? On your withdrawals page, funds are categorized as "pending" or "ready." Only "ready" funds are available to withdraw. For your first withdrawal, you need to have "ready" funds at or above your campaign minimum funding goal (the amount you set at least $50k). Pending funds do not count towards this. For subsequent withdrawals, you must have at least $50,000 in "ready" funds available, and it must be at least 4 weeks since your last withdrawal. ## How to request your withdrawal **Step 1: Go to your withdrawals page.** Visit https://wefunder.com/[your-company]/withdrawals with your company URL slug. **Step 2: Check your "ready" balance.** Review the "Ready" section for the total funds you can withdraw. **Step 3: Click the "Request Funds" button.** Click this to initiate your withdrawal request. If this button is not clickable, it usually means one or more prerequisites are incomplete, or insufficient "ready" funds are available. ## What happens after you request - Your request will be reviewed (We review fund requests weekly on every Monday and Tuesday). - Investors will receive an opt-out notice for 5 business days. - Your withdrawal will be scheduled for the next available Friday. - You will be asked to e-sign contracts related to your withdrawal. - After signing, your disbursement will move to the "withdrawn" stage - In the "withdrawn" stage, we are queuing up the funds for wire, which will typically arrive in your bank account within one or two business days. ## Common Issues and Blockers If you cannot click the "Request Funds" button, check: - Has 21 days passed since your Form C filing? - Have you raised at least your minimum funding goal? - Has your lead investor funded their investment with at least $5,000 and are they not a family member or employee? - Have you saved your wire information correctly in your withdrawals dashboard? - Do you have enough "ready" funds? For the first withdrawal, ready funds must meet or exceed your campaign minimum; for subsequent withdrawals, you need at least $50,000 ready. Tracking your progress and reviewing all these statuses on the withdrawals page will usually highlight what is blocking your withdrawal request. ## FAQs - "What if some of my investors are still pending?" Pending funds do not count towards your "ready" balance. Once those funds clear, they move to "ready" and can be withdrawn. - "Can I request multiple withdrawals?" Yes, after your first withdrawal, you can request additional withdrawals as long as you have $50,000 or more in ready funds, with a minimum interval of 4 weeks between requests. - "What if my wire information is rejected?" You will be notified to fix inaccuracies. Common issues are typos or submitting a personal account instead of a business account. - "What if my lead investor hasn't funded yet?" This is a blocker. Make sure your lead investor completes funding to proceed. - "Can I withdraw before 21 days?" No, the SEC requires the 21-day waiting period. Regularly checking your withdrawals dashboard helps you track your eligibility and resolve blockers early.
