Wefunder Community Round promotions
**Important note:** These thresholds only count investments made through Wefunder. If you raise money outside Wefunder on the same terms, those funds don't count toward these milestones. It's Wefunder-only for reaching these benefits.
Wefunder is a funding portal. This means that **we cannot pick and choose companies to promote.**
We must use **objective criteria** to decide which companies can be included in our newsletters, emails, and social media channels. **The main criterion we use is investment volume.**
To be eligible for marketing, your Wefunder raise needs to be:
1. Reviewed by our compliance team.
2. Set to public.
3. Have an uploaded video; 5+ highlights; photos & bios for all team members; and photos, bios, & quotes for all featured investors.
4. Set up for Explore by our fundraising team.
**To get set up to be promoted to the Wefunder audience, reach out to your Account Manager or fundraising@wefunder.com.**
## At $50k raised
**Explore page listing** - You show up on Wefunder's Explore page where investors browse new campaigns. We share your company, short tagline and one highlight about your company. Your company will be given relevant tags (e.g. Venture Backed, Food & Beverage, SaaS, FinTech, Sustainability) by our fundraising team and show up under those filters. For your first week live, you'll be featured in the "New Companies section".
**Weekly email feature** - We include you in the "New Companies" section of our weekly Thursday newsletter sent to our community.
## At $250k raised
**Dedicated email to targeted investors** - We send out a targeted email to investors who are interested in your company and/or companies in a similar industry. Our fundraising team designs and sends out this email once your company becomes eligible.
## At $500k, $1M, and $2M raised
**More dedicated emails** - You get an additional targeted email to Wefunder investors who are interested in your category. Same format as the $250k email.
**$1M+ Raised + Closing Soon**
We send out a targeted “Closing Soon” email to investors who are interested in your company and/or companies in a similar industry. Our fundraising team designs and sends out this email a week before your close date.
## Weekly newsletter features
**New companies that raise over $50,000** get featured in the “New Companies” section. We share your company, short tagline and one highlight about your company.
**Top 5 most raised companies** get a feature too. We share your company and a short tagline.
**Companies closing their round in the next 9 days** get featured in the “Closing Soon” section. We share your company and a short tagline. Companies will be featured in “Closing Soon” once.
**For Companies hosting a live Founder Q&A**, a link to the event will be included in the “Founder Q&A” section of the weekly newsletter. The deadline for submitting information for a live event to the marketing team is Wednesdays at 11am PT. Companies are permitted at most 4 features in the “Founder Q&A” section.
Our weekly newsletter goes out to 1M+ Wefunder users every Thursday.
## Dedicated email to investors
When you hit $250K, $500K, and $1M in total investments on Wefunder, we send out a dedicated email featuring your company to a set of investors who are interested in your company/industry. For the $2M and $4M thresholds, the emails will be sent to all users.
The best performing emails are short and direct. We write 1000 character max blurb about what your company does, why it exists, and some recent traction. We then highlight 3-5 exciting facts about your company (based on your highlights section) and how much you’ve raised from investors.
If you’d like to request a specific date or content to be included in your email, please fill out [this form](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfCIwtbE7TIi6RtT8KdoUrCT-C5PUlOmNPlhRow-e1_9x3TcA/viewform). Otherwise, our fundraising team will write and send the email without your input. Our team does not provide drafts and has final say on all email content.
The content for the emails will be drawn from your Wefunder profile page — especially the highlights — so make sure to keep that information up to date as your traction grows.
**Important notes:**
1. Only investments made through the Wefunder platform count towards these marketing thresholds. But when your company is shared in our emails, we display the total funds raised in this round, both on and off Wefunder.
2. If your round is oversubscribed, we stop sending investor marketing emails.
3. If you launch your company in Testing the Waters (you have not filed a Form C yet), your company is still eligible to be featured in our marketing emails. However, we prioritize companies with Form C’s due to limited space in the newsletter and marketing schedule. So we recommend you get your Form C filed as soon as you hit $50k in commitments
