International investor guide

Here's a quick and handy guide for investing from abroad! ## The investment flow - Step 1: Go to the company's Wefunder page, input the amount you'd like to invest in the company, and click the "Invest" button. - Step 2: On the investment page, confirm (or edit) the investment amount. If perks are available, they will illuminate the levels you will meet with your investment amount. - Step 3: Provide personal information in the "Investor Info" section (be sure to include whether you're investing as yourself or as an entity). - Step 4: In the next section, input your payment method details. The payment options available to international investors are credit card or wire transfer. Credit card payments are limited to $10,000. For international wire transfers, we **highly recommend** using [Wise](wise.com). It's easy and free to set up, and ensures your wire won't be returned or run into delivery issues. - Step 5: Review the legal details, and agree to the Terms and Conditions by clicking the check box. - Step 6: In the "Complete Investment" section at the very bottom, re-review the investment amount and associated fees. When ready, click the "Complete Investment" button. You’ll receive a confirmation email of your investment details (and wire instructions, if applicable). ## Completing wire transfers After clicking the "Complete Investment" button, you’ll receive an email with wire instructions, but you can also find them by going to wefunder.com/[companyname]/wire_info after making your investment. - Step 1: If you wish to use [Wise](wise.com), go to https://wise.com/us/send-money/send-money-to-the-usa. - Step 2: Choose your country in the top dropdown box. - Step 3: Include the correct USD total including fees in the bottom portion (found in your wire instructions). This will automatically update how much you need to send from your home currency. - Step 4: Click "Get Started". You’ll be asked to set up an account or log in to an existing one. - Step 5: After setting up your account, please follow the prompts to send your wire. Note that international wires can take 5-7 business days to reach our escrow account. The delay is typically because all wires must go through fraud and AML checks.
