I have a reservation pending my approval — should I approve it, and what does it do?
## Do you have to approve a pending reservation?
No. When an investor makes a reservation (Testing the Waters), it may show as "pending your approval," but you don't have to do anything for it to become real. Once the investor completes identity verification and funds the reservation, it is **automatically approved** and converts into a completed investment.
## Why approve it manually, then?
Approving the reservation yourself updates the funding total displayed on your Deal Page right away — so your page reflects the commitment before the investor has finished funding it. It's optional, and mainly about how your page looks to visitors.
## What a large reservation can unlock
$50,000 raised on Wefunder (from Testing the Waters reservations and on-platform investments) is the threshold to appear on Wefunder's **Explore** page. So reaching $50,000 also makes you eligible for public promotion on the platform. Note that hitting $50,000 triggers an automatic compliance review before Explore placement — approving a single reservation does not by itself put you on Explore. For the full Explore criteria, see the article "Why your round isn't on the Explore page."
