## How to Fund Your Investment on Wefunder There are several ways to fund your investment on Wefunder, depending on where you are and what works best for you. Here's everything you need to know. ## Payment Methods by Location ### For US Investors - **Bank Transfer (ACH)** The most cost-effective option. You'll connect directly to your bank, and funds typically arrive in 5-7 business days. No fees on Wefunder's end. - **Credit Card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay** The quickest way to invest. Funds process instantly, but there's a $20,000 limit per transaction. - **Wefunder Cash** If you already have funds in your Wefunder account, you can use those directly. - **Stablecoin** You can invest using USDC through our crypto payment partner. Transactions typically settle within minutes once confirmed on-chain. This option can be useful for investors who prefer to pay with digital assets or are investing internationally. - **Wire Transfer** The best option for larger investments. Takes approximately 5-7 business days, sometimes less, to reach our account because of standard processing plus our bank's AML checks. - **IRA** If you have a self-directed IRA, you can easily invest from your self-directed IRA through the Wefunder platform! Quick processing. - **Wire Transfer** No upper limit, and we don't require an IBAN. You can use BIC/SWIFT codes through your own bank, or use Wise for an easier process. Typically 5-7 business days to go through our bank's AML checks and reach our account. ## How Bank Transfers Work (US) 1. Choose your investment amount 2. Select "Bank Transfer" at checkout 3. Follow the secure connection to your bank 4. Confirm the authorization in your banking app 5. Funds appear in your account within 5-7 business days **If your card is declined:** - Check that the name and address match your card exactly - Contact your bank to approve the transaction (especially for international purchases) - Try again once your bank confirms approval ## How Wire Transfers Work (International) **The basic process:** 1. Go to the investment page and enter your amount 2. Provide your personal details 3. Select "Wire Transfer" at checkout 4. You'll get an email with wire instructions 5. Complete your investment 6. Send your wire using your bank's information **Using Wise (recommended):** If you want to make this easier, use Wise.com: 1. Go to Wise and select your country 2. Enter the USD amount from your wire instructions 3. Wise converts it to your currency automatically 4. Create a Wise account and follow their prompts 5. Initiate the transfer using the wire info we sent to you when you set up the investment. If you can't find the instructions, you can always reach out to our Support Team to confirm the wire instructions at any time. Alternatively, you can access the applicable wire instructions in your Wefunder account by navigating to the company's raise page and appending **/wire_info** to the end of the URL. Example: https://www.wefunder.com/COMPANY/wire_info **It's important to note that wire instructions are unique to you and your investment. Instructions will differ from raise to raise and investment to investment.** **Important note for international wires:** Wefunder's Thread Bank account does not provide a direct SWIFT/BIC code or IBAN for receiving wires. Instead, you should use the intermediary bank SWIFT/BIC code shown in your specific wire instructions (for example, CSBKUS33 for South State Bank, NA), when that intermediary is listed. If your sending bank asks for a direct SWIFT/BIC or IBAN for Wefunder's Thread Bank, explain that the intermediary SWIFT route shown in the wire instructions is the supported and only method. If the sending bank refuses to process wires using the intermediary routing, collect the sending bank's exact requirements and route the case to support for assistance. **Critical Alert:** When using Wise, DO NOT SEND WIRES TO WEFUNDER'S TAG. We will not receive the funds. Instead, enter "Wefunder" in the recipient field, followed by the digits below, depending on your investment type: - Public (Reg CF) investments: **4399** - Private (Reg D) investments: **4407** ## Confirming Your Wire Instructions To complete a wire transfer, use the instructions we emailed you when you created the investment. You can also find them in your Wefunder account at **wefunder.com/[COMPANY]/wire_info** (replace [COMPANY] with the company's campaign URL name). **Always include the Reference ID from your wire instructions in the memo field.** This is how we match your payment to your investment. Your wire instructions are unique to you and your investment, so they differ from raise to raise and investment to investment. Wire transfers typically take 1-3 business days to process. If you sent your wire more than 5 business days ago and don't see it reflected in your account, reply with a screenshot or copy of your bank's wire receipt and we'll investigate. #### Examples: - You are investing in a public (Reg CF) community round. In the recipient field, you would enter **"Wefunder Portal LLC 4399"**. - You are investing in a private (Reg D) community round. In the recipient field, you should enter **"Wefunder, Inc 4407"**. **Important:** Wire transfers go through Wefunder's third-party bank, so funds take 5-7 business days to arrive.
