Changing the email on your founder account

## Can I change the email on my account myself? Yes. Go to [wefunder.com/settings/login_and_security](https://wefunder.com/settings/login_and_security) and update the email field. You'll be asked to confirm the new address by clicking a link sent to it. The old email stays active until you confirm. ## What if I can't get into my old email to confirm? Email **support@wefunder.com** from any address with: - Your full name - The old email on the account - The new email you want to switch to - Verification you're the account holder (the company name, a recent login, etc.) We can change it manually after verifying your identity. ## Does changing my email affect my company or raise? No. Your email is tied to your personal Wefunder account, not to the company. Your campaign, investments, and admin role stay exactly the same after the change. ## Do I need to tell my investors that my email changed? No, unless you were corresponding with them directly. Investor-facing emails go from **support@wefunder.com** — not from your personal address. If you ran investor outreach from a specific email and want to keep that conversation going, just let those investors know in your next update. ## Can I have multiple emails on one account? Not at the moment. Each account has a single login email. If you want a co-founder or partner to also have access, invite them as a teammate (see [Adding or removing teammates on your campaign](09-adding-or-removing-teammates-on-your-campaign.md)) - they'll have their own account and their own email. ## I have two Wefunder accounts and want to merge them. Email **support@wefunder.com** with both email addresses. We can merge most accounts manually, but we won't do it without confirming both belong to the same person. Note: if either account has active investments or admin access on a live campaign, the merge takes longer because we have to preserve all of those relationships.
