My investor is flagged for accreditation — what documents do they need and how long does review take?

Examples of documents we accept to verify an investor’s accreditation status include: • Bank, brokerage, or retirement account statements • W2, 1099, K1 or a 1040 over the last two years • Tax assessment or appraisal • Evidence of holding a series 7, 65, or 82 • A letter from a CPA, investment adviser, lawyer, or broker-dealer The documents must show proof of meeting one or more of the following qualifiers: Individual accreditation • I am a Qualified Purchaser with $5M+ in investments • I have at least $1 million in net worth • I have $200k+ income for the past 2 years (or $300k joint with spouse) and expect the same this year • I have an active Series 7, 65, or 82 in good standing Entity accreditation • The entity has at least $25 million in investments • The entity has more than $5 million in assets • All owners of the entity are qualified purchasers • All owners of the entity are accredited investors • The entity is an investment advisor (registered or exempt reporting advisor) or a broker-dealer Note: It typically takes 1-2 business days for our team to review accreditation documents. Investments are held in a “pending” status until accreditation is confirmed and all blockers or action items have been resolved.
