# International investors: what tax documents you get (and don't)

> For the complete documentation index, see [llms.txt](/llms.txt).

If you're an investor located outside the U.S., your Wefunder tax documents work differently than they do for U.S. investors. Here's what to expect.
## You won't receive a U.S. K-1
International investors do not receive Schedule K-1 forms, and Wefunder does not issue country-specific tax documentation for your local filing requirements.
## What you can use instead
Your subscription agreement is usually the key document for your records — it shows your original investment and terms, which is often what you or your tax advisor need for local reporting. To download it, go to your Portfolio at wefunder.com/portfolio, find the investment in your confirmed investments, open the detail view, and click "Download contracts." The detail view also shows your original investment amount and any change in value.
## For your local taxes
Tax rules vary by country. For how to report a Wefunder investment where you live, please consult a local tax professional — Wefunder can't advise on non-U.S. tax matters.
