Investing as an entity

## How to Add an Entity to Your Wefunder Account If you want to invest through a trust, fund, or other legal entity, you'll need to set it up in your Wefunder account first. ## Entities You Can Add - Family trusts - Business funds - LLCs or corporations - Other legal entities ## Set Up Your Entity 1. Go to your account settings at https://www.wefunder.com/settings 2. Navigate to "Investor Information" 3. Under "Entities," click "Add Entity" and enter the details ## Your Account Name Remains Unchanged Your Wefunder account name stays your personal name, e.g. the individual representing the entity (such as the trustee). This is required for identity verification. When you invest through an entity, you're selecting which entity to use for that investment, not changing your account. ## Identification Requirements - **For a trust:** Use your Social Security Number (SSN) as the trustee - **For other entities (LLC, fund, corporation):** Use the Employer Identification Number (EIN) - **International investors:** You don't need to provide an SSN or EIN ## After Setup Once your entity is added, you can select it when making a new investment. From the invest flow, under section #2 called 'Investor Info', you should choose the entity you'd like to invest with (instead of using your personal identifying info for that section).
