What to do if you don’t yet have a Lead Investor
We suggest you choose from your professional network or the Wefunder investors that back your company during the raise. We can give you advice* and help you through the process, but choosing from your network is best anyway – there's already a relationship of trust between you.
Unfortunately if your campaign began before February 19, 2026, if you can't find a Lead, you won't be able to withdraw any money you raise on Wefunder.
If your campaign began on or after February 19, 2026, you have expanded options for who can be your lead investor. You (the founder), a team member, a past investor, or related party can be chosen as a lead investor.
