Investor communication during withdrawals

## We handle investor communication for you Here's the good news: you don't need to send investors a heads-up about upcoming withdrawals. Wefunder handles that. We send out automated notifications to investors when a withdrawal is about to happen, so they know their investment is about to become final. ## What investors receive When you have a rolling withdrawal coming up, approximately 7-8 business days before the funds go out, we send investors an email that tells them: - Their investment funds are about to be disbursed - The amount they're investing (since this makes their investment final) - They have the option to opt-out if they want to The email goes directly from us to them. You don't need to do anything on your end. ## When should you reach out to investors? You really only need to step in if some sort of issue comes up. For example: - If you notice they need to complete an action item - An investor tells you they're confused about the withdrawal or didn't understand the email - An investor says they want to opt out - An investor didn't receive the email and is asking questions - There's some other issue that needs clarification If everything's running smoothly, there's no action we need from you. ## If an investor wants to opt-out If an investor reaches out to you saying they want to opt-out of a withdrawal: **Option 1:** Direct them to click the opt-out button in the email they received. It's right there in the notification we sent. **Option 2:** If they can't find the email or need help, they can reach out to our Closing team directly at closing@wefunder.com. Your investor can reply to the email from us, or they can email that address with their questions. Either way, don't feel like you need to handle the opt-out request yourself. Just point them in the right direction. ## The bottom line We send the investor communications automatically. Your only task is to raise your hand if there's a question or issue for some reason. Otherwise, sit back and we'll take care of the proactive comms.
