Deleting your account

If you've decided to close your Wefunder account, we can help you do that. Here's what you need to know about the process. ## Why you might delete your account Some people delete their accounts because they're no longer investing, they've consolidated to a different platform, or they simply want a fresh start. Whatever your reason, we can delete your account for you. ## How to delete your account To delete your account, contact our support team at support@wefunder.com and let them know you want to close your account. We'll ask you to verify your identity by providing: - The phone number associated with your account - The residential address on file with us Once we've confirmed your identity matches our records, we'll delete your account on our end and send you a confirmation that it's done. ## Data & privacy Even after deletion, we keep some information for legal and tax purposes (like records of your past investments for tax reporting).
