# Where to Find Wefunder Account Settings, Portfolio, Cash, Tax Docs, and Other Common Pages

Use these navigation paths to find common Wefunder account, settings, and product areas.

## How navigation is organized

Wefunder has two main navigation patterns:

1. **Top nav + avatar account menu** for investor-facing pages.
2. **Founder left sidebar** for company management, shown when a company or syndicate profile is selected in the account switcher.

The main **Settings** area lives at `/settings/*`.

## Find account settings

Open the **avatar menu** and choose **Settings**.

- **Settings**: `/settings`
  - On desktop, this redirects to **Account Info**.
  - On mobile, this shows a chooser.

The Settings sidebar includes:
- **Account Info**
- **Public Profile**
- **Login & Security**
- **Investor Limits**
- **Banks & Cards**
- **Notifications**
- **Messaging**
- **Apps & Agents**

## Common account tasks

### Change your password or set up 2FA
Go to **Avatar → Settings → Login & Security**.

- Route: `/settings/login_and_security`
- Use this page for:
  - Email
  - Password
  - Phone
  - 2FA by SMS
  - Authenticator app
  - Passkeys
  - Log out of all devices

Available actions include:
- `Password → Reset >`
- `Email → Edit >`
- `Phone → Add >/Edit >`
- `Authenticator App → Add >`
- `Passkeys → Add >`
- `Log out of all devices >`

Caveats:
- Login required.
- The **Two-Factor Authentication** section only appears when MFA is already enabled.
- **Log out of all devices** is hidden in the mobile app webview.

### Update your address, legal name, or tax ID
Go to **Avatar → Settings → Account Info**.

- Route: `/settings/investor_information`
- Use this page for:
  - Legal name
  - Address
  - Birthday
  - Nationality
  - Tax ID
  - Passport/ID
  - Investing entities
  - Beneficiaries
  - VIP membership
  - Delete account

Available actions include:
- `Add Entity >`
- `Add Beneficiary`
- `Delete Account >`

Important note:
- **Delete Account** requires no active investments and `$0 Wefunder Cash`.

### Check your investment limit or accreditation status
Go to **Avatar → Settings → Investor Limits**.

- Route: `/settings/investor_limits`
- Use this page for:
  - Accredited status
  - Income
  - Net worth
  - Legal investment limit
  - Re-verification

Caveat:
- Login required.
- This page is **hidden** from Capitalize / Community Round navigation.

### Add a bank or card, or change your default payment method
Go to **Avatar → Settings → Banks & Cards**.

- Route: `/settings/banks_and_cards`
- Redirects here from:
  - `/wallet`
  - `/payment_methods`

Available actions include:
- `Add Bank >`
- `Add Card >`
- `Set as Default`
- `Remove`

Caveat:
- EU users may see SEPA banks.

### Change email notifications
Go to **Avatar → Settings → Notifications**.

- Route: `/settings/notifications`
- `/email_settings` redirects here

Use this page to manage:
- `Activity digest` with `Daily/Weekly/Off`
- Toggles for:
  - `Startup digest`
  - `Vault deals`
  - `Featured companies`
  - `Wefunder content`
  - `Replies`
  - `Mentions`
  - `New followers`
  - `New investor` (founders only)

### Change who can message you or block someone
Go to **Avatar → Settings → Messaging**.

- Route: `/settings/inbox_privacy`

Messaging options include:
- `No one`
- `Users & Companies I Follow`
- `Users & Companies I Follow + Shared Syndicates`
- `Everyone`

Available actions include:
- `Unblock`
- `Unmute`

### Manage connected apps or get an API token
Go to **Avatar → Settings → Apps & Agents**.

- Route: `/settings/apps`
- `/settings/connected_apps` redirects here

Use this page to:
- Revoke third-party app access
- Connect an AI agent
- Generate a personal read-only API token

Available actions include:
- `Revoke → Revoke access`
- `Connect an AI agent`
- `Need a manual API token instead? Generate one →`

AI-agent connection tabs include:
- Claude Code
- Codex
- ChatGPT
- Claude Desktop
- Cursor

Caveat:
- The AI-agent / API-token section requires a specific account feature to be enabled. If you do not see it, that feature is off for your account.

### Edit your public profile or privacy settings
Go to **Avatar → Settings → Public Profile**.

- Route: `/settings/public_profile`

Use this page for:
- Display name
- Profile picture
- Wefunder URL
- Bio
- Website
- Thesis
- Privacy toggles

Privacy toggles include:
- `Hide badges`
- `Hide investments`
- `Hide from search engines`
- `Hide location`
- `Hide activity`

## Money, documents, and messages

### Find your investments or cancel an investment
Go to **Avatar → Portfolio** or visit `/portfolio`.

Redirects here from:
- `/my_investments`
- `/investments`

Available actions include:
- `Cancel → Cancel investment? → Yes, cancel`
- `Edit`
- `Download Contracts`
- `Download CSV`
- `Complete`

Caveat:
- The menu link is hidden unless a company/club profile is selected, but the direct URL always works.

### Withdraw money or check your balance
Go to **Avatar → Cash** or visit `/cash`.

Available actions include:
- `Withdraw` / `Withdraw money`
- `Deposit` / `Deposit money`
- Cancel a transfer in `History`

### Download tax documents
Go to **Avatar → Tax Docs**.

- Route: `/docs`

Available actions include:
- `Download`
- `Download All`

Caveat:
- Downloading requires an **MFA challenge**.
- Documents must be `Issued` or `Amended`.

### Find your inbox or messages
Use the **envelope icon** in the top nav.

- Route: `/inbox`
- Action: `New message`

### Open recent notifications
Use the **bell icon** in the top nav.

Opening the notification panel marks notifications as read.

## Other common destinations

### Rewards / referral link
Go to **Avatar → Rewards**.

- Route: `/rewards`
- The menu says **Rewards**, but the page title is **Referrals**.

Available actions include:
- Copy `Your Referral URL`
- `Invite via email`
- `See details`

### Upgrade to VIP
Go to **Avatar → Upgrade to VIP**.

- Route: `/vip`
- Shown to non-VIP users

To manage or cancel VIP, go to **Account Info → VIP Membership**.

## Founder/company navigation

When a company or syndicate profile is selected in the account switcher, use the **founder left sidebar**.

Sidebar items include:
- `Activity`
- `Deal Page`
- `Editor`
- `Directory`
- `Manage Rounds` / `Start Round`
- `Reports`
- `Help`
- `Settings`
- `Invite`

Common founder tasks:

### Invite a teammate to your company
Go to **Founder sidebar → Editor → Team → Add a Team Member**.

### Start or manage a fundraise
Go to **Founder sidebar → Manage Rounds** or **Start Round**.

### Get raised money out
Go to **Founder sidebar → Reports → Withdrawals**.

## Developer Portal

The **Developer Portal** is at `/developers`.

Important note:
- It is a separate area and is **not linked** from the main navigation.
- Use it for creating an OAuth app or finding developer/API tools when directed there.
